Between my journalism experience, master’s in literature, and experience as EIC of Charter, I have developed into a sharp editor.
Working across a range of digital and print mediums. I first interned with the Review-Review Journal, at which I wrote articles, interviewed editors of literary journals, and worked to archive past issues and articles on lit mag publishing. My work has also included book reviewing for Publisher’s Weekly, writing and event planning for Westword Magazine, and interning with The Colorado Times Recorder.
Charter Journal
I served as Editor-in-Chief of Charter, an academic and opinion journal for both students and faculty at Gonzaga, for two years and ran prints of 500-1000 copies. In my time as EIC, I created the journal’s first style guide, hired and ran a team of three editors, edited and reviewed all submissions, and designed the the journal from top to bottom.
